Went out the night after New Years as we had a few sparklers we didn't use the previous night. This is a photo of my Son Jeffery. The trick to photographing lights to get the trail is to use a slow enough shutter speed, then set your flash to 2nd curtain so the flash fires in the end. This allows the light from the sparkler to get picked up, while the flash at the end freezes the person so they are not blurred. Try it out if you get the chance. It can be fun
